The Health Literacy Gap
Nearly 9 out of 10 adults struggle with health literacy.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults struggle to understand and use personal and public health information when it's filled with unfamiliar or complex terms. Limited health literacy can make it harder for people to understand medical information, navigate healthcare systems, and make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
Medly aims to help close this gap by empowering youth with accessible, reliable health education. By equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to understand health topics, we hope to build a generation that can make informed choices and share accurate health information within their communities.
